Announcement

New Jersey farmers harvested 580,000 barrels of cranberries, worth more than $20 million, across 2,900 acres in 2023. This output places New Jersey in the Top 3 in the United States.

The New Jersey Food Fund’s 2025-26 grantmaking cycle opened September 2025. Applicants will be notified of award decisions by the end of the year.

Through our two core programs—the Grant Navigator program and the Harvest the Future program—we will continue investing in nonprofits and coalitions that are building equitable, long-term solutions to food insecurity across New Jersey.

Since our launch in 2024, the Fund has awarded $1.3 million across 38 grants in 20 counties, strengthening nonprofit capacity, piloting innovative solutions, and supporting coalition-building to ensure that more New Jersey families have access to fresh, healthy food.

We are excited to together build a stronger, healthier, and more equitable food system for New Jersey.
