Building a philanthropic movement

The New Jersey Food Fund is a collaborative model that brings philanthropic and state partners together to invest in bold, community-rooted food security solutions. We’re not just co-funding grants—we’re aligning strategy, sharing insights, and advancing systems change that no single organization could achieve alone. We believe in the power of partnership—and invite funders of all sizes, types, and geographies to join us.

Why join the Fund?

Philanthropic partners gain access to:

A coordinated, statewide philanthropic effort led by food security experts

A learning community that engages with nonprofits, government leaders, and one another to amplify impact

A coordinated, statewide philanthropic effort led by food security experts

Opportunity to stay aligned with state government efforts through partnership with the New Jersey Office of the Food Security Advocate (OFSA)

A varied portfolio of grantees advancing innovative, equity-centered solutions

“The learnings from the community partners, leaders, and experts in the Fund have deepened our understandings on how change can be implemented across New Jersey’s food and nutrition landscape. We’re proud to be a part of the work that builds a more connected and resilient food security field statewide.”
